Dated proof you had the beat first.
If someone ever claims your beat, you'll need to show you had it first. When you upload a beat on the web, vvault fingerprints the file and records the date in a certificate you can download.
Every plan.

What the certificate records
The file's fingerprint
A SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact file you uploaded. Change a single bit of the file and the fingerprint no longer matches.
The time, to the second
When the proof was made, in UTC, and when you locked the details, so nobody can say it was written later.
Who made it, and how it's split
You, your collaborators and their splits, your collecting society, and the ISRC or ISWC when you have them.
Extra evidence
Attach your DAW project file and screenshots. Each one is fingerprinted and listed in the certificate too.
What it is, and what it isn't
The certificate is dated evidence that you held this exact file at that moment. It isn't a copyright registration, and it doesn't stop anyone from copying. Copyright protects your beat from the moment you make it; the certificate helps you prove that it's yours and when you had it.
How to prove a beat is yours goes through the rest of the evidence worth keeping.
Catch your beats in other people's songs
WaveMatch looks for your beats in released songs and shows you the ones it recognises, so you can spot a stolen one. On Pro you run it on the beats you choose; on Ultra it keeps checking your library for you. If nothing comes up, that doesn't prove nobody used your beat.
Questions
Do I have to do anything?
Not on the web: the fingerprint and the certificate are made when you upload there. Add collaborators, splits and extra evidence whenever you like.
Which plan comes with it?
Every plan: the certificate and WaveMatch both come with Pro and Ultra. On Ultra, WaveMatch also keeps checking your library for you.
Will it hold up in court?
It's evidence, not a verdict: a judge weighs it with everything else you bring. It isn't legal advice either. For a real dispute, talk to a lawyer.
Never wonder who listened again.
